The jpg at the bottom of this page tells the story.

I've been a Scientologist for about 22 years. My take on this is that Anonymous is misplaced idealism combined with wrong data on what Scientology is or stands for, + some anti-Scientologists and ex-Scientologists manipulating the thing for their own benefit.
Anyway, in terms of a good response to anonymous, I found this one on YouTube that I personally agree with.

If you are really proud to be a Scientologist, what do you have to say about all of the horrible things that are done in the name of your religion? All of the people killed and lives ruined? The bigotry and opposition to drugs? How are we supposed to tell whether someone is really a proud Scientologist or is just trolling? Why did you feel the need to post an otherwise lengthy contentless posts about your religion? What reaction are you trying to elicit?

Is it me or does the voice of the narrator sound like John Walsh of "America's Most Wanted". If so, it's perfect casting.
If you're so sure the video bashing Anonymous wasn't from the church of scientology, then why is the background image for the AnonymousTruth hosted on img2.scientology.org? Do a view of the HTML on their friggin' YouTube page before you spout off more propaganda, k?
What's your next claim -- that Anonymous managed to sneak the background image onto a Scientology-owned server?
Lame.
background-image: url(http://img2.scientology.org/img/youtube/grid.jpg);
(the jpg is still up on their site)
Go see for yourself. This is how they work. Total BS all the time.
I don't "claim" anything about the video - I'm speculating about it.
In regards to the background image, Duh! anyone can hotlink an image from another site. <img src="http etc.
Still, I'm not making any claims. I've spoken to some Scientologists who are sure the video came directly from the Church. I was just giving my opinion.

1) Greg- why do the Scientologists on the Youtube videos you’ve posted delete otherwise honest, normal comments?
I do not know. And I do not know that this in fact does happen. I'm wondering what you consider "honest, normal comments" Jim. Was your post here a "normal, honest comment"?
2) Why is it so hard to meet an honest Scientologist?
ROFL! Would ANY answer to this be accepted? I mean, us Scientologists being so dishonest and all.
3) If you believe there is some wrong data about what Scientology stands for, why do you think no Scientologist are willing to point out what that wrong data is?
Not only do Scientologists try to point this out routinely, but officials of my Church have answered these questions in many interviews. But the Net forums crowd doesn't wanna hear that, they like the controversy better - more fun I suppose. My personal experience is, when I try to share correct, real information about what Scientology is all about, based on my own experience, I get slammed with ad-hominem attacks and everything I say gets challenged by people who have no first-hand experience. It's tiring.
4) What conclusions do you think people are drawing from these facts?
You haven't given "facts," Jim. You've given a bunch of fallacies in an effort to discredit. Re: People: I have no idea what conclusion each person reaches. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion I guess.
5) If you are really proud to be a Scientologist, what do you have to say about all of the horrible things that are done in the name of your religion?
Taken from anti-Scientology hate sites no doubt. Look, I can't debunk every myth. Simple truth is, if we had done ONE TENTH the crap they say we do, we'd all be in jail. C'mon now.
6)All of the people killed and lives ruined?
Bullsh*t.
7) The bigotry and opposition to drugs?
Don't know what bigotry you're referring to (other than your own obvious bigotry against my religion.
Opposition to drugs? Duh. Do an online search for "paxil + side effects" or "prozac + dangers" or "antidepressants + deaths" - get informed.
8) How are we supposed to tell whether someone is really a proud Scientologist or is just trolling?
ROFL! I guess you'd never know, right? What the hell am I supposed to answer to that, how do I prove that I'm proud? Lame, lame question.
9) Why did you feel the need to post an otherwise lengthy contentless posts about your religion?
W-w-what? That doesn't even make any sense.
10) What reaction are you trying to elicit?
I dunno. I suppose I wanted to speak my mind. Free Country and all that. What's your beef, dude?
Sincerely,
Greg

1) Greg- why do the Scientologists on the Youtube videos you’ve posted delete otherwise honest, normal comments?
* I do not know. And I do not know that this in fact does happen. I’m wondering what you consider “honest, normal comments†*Jim. Was your post here a “normal, honest comment
= We delete your posts to silence dissent; anyone who disagrees with us is wrong and must be silenced.
2) Why is it so hard to meet an honest Scientologist?
*ROFL! Would ANY answer to this be accepted? I mean, us Scientologists being so dishonest and all.
= All Sceintologists on teh internets are OSA trolls.
3) If you believe there is some wrong data about what Scientology stands for, why do you think no Scientologist are willing to point out what that wrong data is?
* Not only do Scientologists try to point this out routinely, but officials of my Church have answered these questions in many interviews. But the Net forums crowd doesn’t wanna hear that, they like the controversy better - more fun I suppose. My personal experience is, when I try to share correct, real information about what Scientology is all about, based on my own experience, I get slammed with ad-hominem attacks and everything I say gets challenged by people who have no first-hand experience. It’s tiring.
= If you want our version of the facts you must pay for them; $300,000.00 please.
4) What conclusions do you think people are drawing from these facts?
* You haven’t given “facts,†Jim. You’ve given a bunch of fallacies in an effort to discredit. Re: People: I have no idea what conclusion each person reaches. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion I guess.
= I've returned with my own bunch of fallacies and answered many of your questions with questions of my own because that way I don't have to deal with your questions.
5) If you are really proud to be a Scientologist, what do you have to say about all of the horrible things that are done in the name of your religion?
* Taken from anti-Scientology hate sites no doubt. Look, I can’t debunk every myth. Simple truth is, if we had done ONE TENTH the crap they say we do, we’d all be in jail. C’mon now.
= They're gonna put us all in Jail when the end comes.
6)All of the people killed and lives ruined?
* Bullsh*t.
= Uh my higher ups deny those deaths are associated with the Cult and I have no information to disprove them. But hey they wouldn't lie to me to cover their own asses, right? Right?
7) The bigotry and opposition to drugs?
* Don’t know what bigotry you’re referring to (other than your own obvious bigotry against my religion.
* Opposition to drugs? Duh. Do an online search for “paxil + side effects†or “prozac + dangers†or “antidepressants + deaths†- get informed.
= So L.Con Hubbard hated blacks, gays, women, asians.. uh anyone who wasn't giving him money. That's okay we like everyone who has money.
= Oh and the drugs thing; yeah every medical drug has side effects and we don't like them. The fact that they do help some people is neither here nor there, as is the fact that people we've taken off their antipsychotics have gone psychotic and uh killed people is nothing to do with us. Really. I refer you to my previous answer. Oh and the fact that the E Meter acts like a TENS machine is neither here nor there.
8) How are we supposed to tell whether someone is really a proud Scientologist or is just trolling?
* ROFL! I guess you’d never know, right? What the hell am I supposed to answer to that, how do I prove that I’m proud? Lame, lame question.
= Of course I'm Trolling if I didn't I'd be locked up and used as slave labour.
9) Why did you feel the need to post an otherwise lengthy contentless posts about your religion?
* W-w-what? That doesn’t even make any sense.
= Uh, wai my brain no werk?
10) What reaction are you trying to elicit?
* I dunno. I suppose I wanted to speak my mind. Free Country and all that. What’s your beef, dude?
= You don't understand if I don't troll they'll down stat me and put me on RPF and I won't be allowed to see my family! Please this is a cry for help; I'm trapped inside an evil fascistic cult that practices disconnection, brain washing, child abuse, slave labor and a whole host of other crimes.
Don't worry Greg, your cry has been heard. Even as we speak legions of Anons across the world are preparing for April 12 when as one we shall be reconnecting families broken by Scientology. Keep your head down and your stats up and soon you shall be free!
Oh and don't worry you have anonymous friends on the outside; we'll keep this between ourselves. You should also have plenty of time to get your stats back up before Thursday.
All I did was express my opinions. As I'm free to do.
I understand that my opinions may be unpopular. So be it.
But this site claims that it will not approve comments which are abusive. It lies. The responses to my comments have been abusive, offensive and direct attacks on my person and character, as well as my religion.
All well and good because I'm a "cultie," right?
Well, some day you may be on the other side of discrimination - because of your religious beliefs or race or gender orientation or whatever - and then let's see how you like being trashed by abusive comments just for speaking your mind.
To the Moderator: You're asleep at the wheel, pal.

And greg, of course you don't know any of those things. Since you're not one of the higher up people in there, they don't tell you sqat. Nothing has happened to you because you've continued paying like a good boy. Stop paying, and you'll see what they're talking about. I suggest keeping paying, or leaving. Leaving is good, but then they'll like, hunt you down...
The scientologist probably made that video, I wouldn't put it past them. It could be a scientology supporter, but how many scientology supporters do you see that don't belong to the 'church?' So I'm guessing it's them.
Can anyone tell me how the March protest went? I REALLY wanted to go, but I wasn't allowed to. It be great to know how everything went. Thanks!
You don't know what the heck you're talking about.
Like Abe Lincoln said, "it's better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt."
a) I don't "keep paying" - haven't for a long while. I only pay for courses or for specific counseling when I determine I may use some. Scientology is an individual life journey.
b) I have several friends who have left Scientology. My own Mom was in Scientology for a couple of years and then she chose to pursue a different path. No biggie. No harrasment or other of the crazy sh*t that's supposed to happen.
The only people who get "harrassed" are the ones who themselves are actively harrassing our Church members and slandering our Church on the Internet.
Get a grip.
