Previous versions of the bus stop flash mob were actually flash mobs. I don't care for your elitist views on what is or isn't a flash mob. Terribly sorry it didn't meet your 12 standards on what constitutes a 'true' flash mob.
I should also note that last friday (9/21/07) there were too many people to have a flash mob and it did indeed become a bus stop rave.

I love this idea :D We have quite a few mobile soundsystem parties here in Toronto.

But for the love of god, I wish people would stop using the phrase flash mob.

I think its very hard to surprise the denizens of SF. Not easily phased. In any case , it was never a problem in the past. People seem to really like these improved bus stops.

This event isn't for an SF0 project, so the organizer didn't think to mention it. The video posted on youtube was made for sf0, so definitely worth mentioning.

Rubin & Ed, the organizer of the event did not mention sf0 in the write-up he sent me. It looks like it's the same person, so I'm not sure why he chose not to provide that information. I did notice that there was a reference to sf0 on the video.
