MIT is beginning to build some unconventional structures (Simmons Hall is another example).&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Unfortunately, the architect did not plan for snow. When snow falls on the steeply sloping metal roof over the entrance, it collects and then slides down onto pedestrians.
