They had no right to arrest the guy other than put up a scare technique to scare ppl off. There's no ground to arrest anyone when the securities were there permitting tree burning and then turn around arresting people.

Re: Post Yule Pyre Photos |
Laughing Squid

Me , the missus and our three dogs arrived a tad late, just before ten pm and must have just missed the super-conflagration seen in some of Scott's excellent photos.

The cops had 'cordoned off' the main parking area by then with a Crown Vic at each end, but left huge gaps for us to easily park and get down onto the beach.

The dogs loved the low key vibe and we wandered from fire to fire chatting with young Dubliners and a wonderful Indian family who had managed to get their non-Xmas fire fuel (looked like very dry particle board) down to the shoreline in a red four wheel drive and who win the 'hottest fire' competition. It burned hot and steady for the half hour we spent in its vicinity, but as I say, we missed the super-conflag. Did it really pin people up against the seawall?

Sorry to have missed Danger Ranger but I wish him a Happy New Year anyway.

Love to all and all for one. Howeird.

Re: Post Yule Pyre Photos |
