But then, just how far off is the founder of Microsoft from being the Republican's Albert Speer??

In any case, this clip is nauseatingly cute and another low pt. in the brief history of Squid's nod to corporate art brain liquidation thru advertising.

What are they trying to sell?! That your sandwich is no different than their $300 million sandwich ?? And can't we all just be cuddly friends now as the economy spirals into generations worth of debt and still no sign of sustainability from the kings atop the burning plastic rubbish piles.

Re: Non Sequitur Microsoft Ad Featuring Jerry Seinfeld & Bill Gates

I loved it. It's obviously designed to promote Apple (while masquerading as a Microsoft ad), and it does a superb job.

Apparently, Bill Gates has finally realized that Microsoft is a lost cause, and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation has invested in Apple stocks. Smart move, Bill.

To learn more about the digital Michael Jackson (Bill Gates), check out my Bill Gates "knol."

Re: Non Sequitur Microsoft Ad Featuring Jerry Seinfeld & Bill Gates

This pleases me to no end. Get the last two guys in the world who need to do anything for money, accept the possibility that Vista will never turn into lemonade, and (probably) write into the contract total creative control for the piece. Chaos...maybe even art ensues. I'm usually the first to slam the "irony-boosts-hip factor" adverts, but this feels like a gremlin (http://www.avclub.com/conte... was handed the controls. But, it just seemed a bit overwrought.

Re: Non Sequitur Microsoft Ad Featuring Jerry Seinfeld & Bill Gates

I actually like this. And we've always known that Bill has a sense of humor.

I especially like that the photo on Bill's discount card is his old mugshot from Albuquerque.

Re: Non Sequitur Microsoft Ad Featuring Jerry Seinfeld & Bill Gates

they have got to be kidding
this looks like the sort of video someone thought up after a night of hard drinking
seriously wtf?

Re: Non Sequitur Microsoft Ad Featuring Jerry Seinfeld & Bill Gates

Absolutely brilliant. No, it doesn't promote Vista. No, it doesn't address user frustration or dissatisfaction. But it's a hell of a start from CP&B at finessing the stodgy MSFT brand. Far better than any Get a Mac piece.
