Laughing Squid</title><link>http://laughingsquid.com/crowdsourcing-to-be-used-by-news-publisher-gannett/#comment-1806515</link><description>&lt;p&gt;In a counter move, the crowd organizes &lt;a href="http://www.mediavolunteer.org" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" title="http://www.mediavolunteer.org"&gt; to organize mass numbers of volunteers to build and maintain a community managed database on media, media outlets and journalists so that better and more relevant stories can be pitched back at folks from Gannett.  &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Volunteers are motivated by the pending collapse of the fourth estate and the desire to see more inspired and important stories "in" the news (and less marketing regurgitation as news).&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/p&gt;</description><dc:creator xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">Volunteer</dc:creator><pubDate>Mon, 06 Nov 2006 10:19:32 -0000</pubDate></item></channel></rss>
